This was a participatory artistic event that took place in September of 2016 at the British Museum in London that references Chuseok, also know as Korean Thanksgiving. This work engaged the traditional foods and traditions of my birth country’s harvest moon festival and made use of transnational components to talk about reshaping and redefining identity, in the face of global international migratory flows and mobility. My social sculpture will engaged museum visitors young and old in learning about Korean cultural food and religious traditions. They were invited to participate in a collaborative collage sculpture, which amalgamated many different foods from distinct cultures and nations in one large work. This event was curated and organized by Eleanor Soo ah Hyun. Korean curator at the British Museum.
